Sunless Tan Tips

Exfoliate

Exfoliate your entire body the day before your spray tan. Use a mitt or loofah and try to avoid oil based scrubs. Be sure to exfoliate any previous spray tan or self tanner you have on your skin.

Beauty Prep

Have all hair removal done the DAY BEFORE your spray tan. This includes waxing, shaving, threading and sugaring. Have your lashes, nails and pedicure appointments done at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan.

Moisturize

Spray tans love hydrated and moisturized skin! For 2-3 days prior to the tan, apply extra moisturizer to your entire body to achieve the best result. Use a moisturizer that is free from parabins and sulphates. Please do not use DOVE or BATH & BODY WORKS for at least 24 hours before your tan.

Day of your appointment

You will want to make sure you have NO MAKE-UP, LOTION or DEODORANT on at the time of your appointment. Products on the skin can act as a barrier on the skin and interfere with the development of the tan. Wear dark, loose fitting clothing with no bra (or strapless) and have your hair up and away from your face.

*Plan to avoid water contact and sweating for at least 2-3 hours after your spray tan.

First Shower

Your first shower MUST be a soapless rinse. Use warm water and thoroughly rinse your entire body until the water is clear. Do not scrub or rub your skin during or after your shower. Pat dry with a towel afterwards. Time of rinse will be determined at your appointment.

After Care

Do not use lotion, soap or perfume on your skin for the first 24 hours. The tan will take a full 24 hours to devlope regardless of your rinse off time. Use only sulphate and parabin free soaps/lotions for the entire life of your spray tan. Apply lotion at least once a day to ensure a long lasting tan with a flawless fade.

Day of after care

Avoid soaking or water contact for at least 2 hours. Drink only from a straw and avoid touching your skin with the bottoms of your hands. Wear dark, loose fitting clothing to your appointment and after.
